Overview

With three 18-hole world-class golf courses including two in the hill country and an old-established one in Colombo, Sri Lanka presents a challenge for the ardent golfer. This eight day tour includes visits to all the courses and also reveals the amazing contrast in scenery and elegance of the three places.

You can experience the Sri Lanka's major 18 hole golf courts in Colombo, Kandy, Nuwaraeliya and Shangri-la Hambantota

Itinerary

DAY 1

ARRIVAL

Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, transfer to a hotel close to the international airport. Relax and unwind after your flight, preparing yourself for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2-3

COLOMBO ROYAL GOLF CLUB

Royal Colombo Golf Club, over a century of sport and sporting traditions, customs, manners, and styles of the British in Ceylon. A fragment of it is to be seen in the founding of the Colombo Golf Club and its life thereafter as the Royal Colombo Golf Club.

DAY 4-5-6

DIGANA VICTORIA GOLF CLUB

The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, founded in 1889, is one of the oldest golf clubs in Asia and probably the world. It is an institution, rich in tradition, history and carries an ambience unparalleled in this country.

HAMBANTOTA SHANGRI-LA GOLF RESORT

Sri Lanka’s first and only golf resort is set amid a vast coconut palm plantation, offering spectacular views and unique challenges for both casual and seasoned players. The abundance of nature and wildlife, framed by lakes and the beautiful Indian Ocean, sets the scene for an incredible golfing experience.

DAY 13

COLOMBO

On the final day of your tour, transfer to a City Hotel in Colombo. You can experience a city tour and shopping in Sri Lanka.

Any services, meals or activity charges other than those included in the group tour itinerary.
Camera Permits at sites.

Cancellation

The cancelation policy would be applicable 25 days prior to the booking date, whereby the client will be charged 50% of the tour cost or the property applicable rate. 14 days prior to arrival would incur a 100% cancelation charge upon the booking or property applicable rate - including ‘no show’.

"We have had an amazing holiday in Sri Lanka. Our driver/tour guide was excellent, very friendly and provided lots of interesting information both on excursions and driving around. He seemed to go over and above what we would think would be expected of a tour guide and within the ten days we felt like we had made a new friend! "We spent 13 days on a tour of Sri Lanka with our guide Anton Almeida. The trip was incredible and made even better by Anton's knowledge of the history of Sri Lanka, deep understanding of wildlife and willingness to join with some of the tough hikes we did (e.g. Overnight Adam's Peak, Horton's Plains and Ella Gap). Travelling to a foreign country can have some challenges but Anton was always on time, gave great tips of stops while driving and the best places for food, massages and many other local experiences. Overall it was great and ask for Anton for any future trip you'll be sure to have a fun time!"

"This was our first visit to Sri Lanka, but we had such a great time I’m sure we will be back. This was in no small part due to the excellent arrangements made by Walkers, and our wonderful and attentive guide Janaka. I guess you never know what it’s going to be like to be ferried around for eight days by a total stranger, but Janaka wasn’t a stranger for long. By the end of day two it felt like we were being shown Sri Lanka by a mate – albeit one that happened to be particularly knowledgeable about the country, its history, culture, and wildlife! We had some great experiences in and around Habarana and Kandy, learned a lot of fascinating stuff, and had a load of fun in the process. Even Janaka learned something new – he certainly won’t be parking under a mango tree full of fruit bats again! How he got the car clean before morning we’ll never know… Our week or so’s site seeing flew by, but it teed us up nicely for Christmas and New Year relaxing at the beach in Weligama. So, thanks again to everyone at Walkers, but most especially to Janaka – in a place famous for its jewels, Janaka stands out as a little gem."

The car was always spotlessly clean and tidy inside and out. The hotels were good and the food was excellent. "
